The Blues fell to a 5-2 defeat against PSG in Paris on Wednesday night in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.
Chelsea were in the game at 2-2 with 15 minutes left, but imploded and now need a miracle to overturn a three goal deficit in the second leg on Tuesday.
During his time in charge Rosenior has made a point of taking responsibility for bad results, and has been pushing hard to instil a culture of accountability at the club.
Speaking ahead of the Newcastle game on Saturday, the 41-year-old has called on the players to take their share of the blame for what happened in Paris.
“It’s collective. It’s collective. I make mistakes; everybody makes mistakes. That’s my point,” he said as quoted by The Standard.
“It’s not all on me. It’s not all on the players. We’re a collective, a group. It’s all good when we win 4-1 at Aston Villa and everyone is happy and takes accountability then.
“You have to take accountability when things don’t go your way [as well]. For me, that’s part of the culture that I want at this club: for everybody to be part of the same thing, whether it’s a success or a defeat.”
The Blues have an opportunity to right the wrongs of Wednesday night as they host Newcastle on Saturday in a huge game.
