Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, 24, carries a market value of £21.6m. Coventry City right-back Milan van Ewijk, 25, is listed at £19m. Bologna centre-back Jhon Lucumi, 27, is also valued at £19m.

Benfica defender Antonio Silva, 22, is priced at £21.6m. RB Leipzig left-back David Raum, 28, is at £21.6m. Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika, 25, stands at £19.9m.

Clubs often either renew or sell at this point, otherwise they risk losing players for free, a dynamic that can create cut-price openings. Leeds have frequently monitored such situations.

If similar opportunities arise, Elland Road chiefs could explore them again, though any moves would hinge on valuations, competition and budget.
