Queens Park Rangers will do battle against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon as both sides look to eradicate their recent patchy form for good and showcase exactly why they have been viewed as potential play-off or promotion material in the eyes of many.

Both Julien Stephan and Kieran McKenna will be able to call upon the services of many experienced and technically-gifted players in a bid to secure a vital three points in West London. However, there are several who won't make their respective squads through injury, and FLW has looked at all eight of those.

Queens Park Rangers

Joe Walsh

The first of two players not at Stephan's disposal for Rangers is goalkeeper, Joe Walsh.

After starting the campaign between the sticks, the 23-year-old suffered a broken wrist in early September, ruling him out of the following eight encounters.

Such circumstances are set to be the case once again, as he continues his rehabilitation.

Ziyad Larkeche

The only other QPR player unavailable to Stephan is French left-back, Ziyad Larkeche.

After being utilised in pre-season by his compatriot, the 23-year-old is expected to miss the vast majority of the campaign following a cruel ACL blow in mid-August.

Ipswich Town

Alex Palmer

McKenna's injury list begins in the form of experienced keeper, Alex Palmer.

The former West Brom man is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being hit with a calf injury in the first-half of the Tractor Boys' 3-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic at Portman Road on October 21st, with Christian Walton subsequently taking his place.

Harry Clarke

Harry Clarke's career has recently been blighted by injury, having not played competitively since featuring on loan for Sheffield United in a 2-1 defeat at Plymouth Argyle on April 12th.

The 24-year-old was said to have been back in full training last month after somewhat recovering from his knee issue, but he is yet to feature for the Blues so far this season.

Conor Townsend

Conor Townsend's absence is set to be way more long-term, though, with the experienced left-back still recovering from an ACL injury which will keep him sidelined for the majority of the campaign.

The 32-year-old sustained the issue in Town's final pre-season friendly against Auxerre back in August.

Wes Burns

In brighter news, Wes Burns is nearing a return from an ACL injury of his own, which was sustained against Premier League champions, Liverpool, back in January.

After returning to training in recent weeks, McKenna has claimed the man, who was integral during Town's run of back-to-back promotions, could be back available after the upcoming international break.

Sammie Szmodics

Luck hasn't exactly been on Sammie Szmodics' side in recent weeks, with the Irish international suffering yet another knee issue which he has since undergone surgery for.

The former Championship Golden Boot winner sustained the issue in last weekend's 1-0 success over West Bromwich Albion, during which he was forced off after 20 minutes.

McKenna has since revealed he will be out of action for a number of weeks.

Chuba Akpom

It remains to be seen whether the man who came on in his place, Chuba Akpom, will also be fit enough to play some part in W12, having suffered a shin issue after a robust challenge from Ousmane Diakite.

McKenna has revealed that it will be touch-and-go regarding the striker's availability in his pre-match press conference.
