Kompany unhappy with referee’s decision

The Bayern coach was also encouraged by the attacking performance at the Parc des Princes: „We also scored four goals away from home, at PSG and in Paris. We can score goals, and I think we’ll be able to do that at home too,“ explained Kompany

The Bayern coach was unhappy with several decisions, particularly the handball penalty shortly before the break. „I also find the penalty highly debatable,“ said Kompany. The defeat did nothing to change Kompany’s belief in progressing. „I think it’s 100 per cent there,“ he emphasised. At the same time, he made a clear appeal to the supporters: „We need our fans. We need support. We don’t need less, we need even more.“

Kompany expects the second leg to be another intense duel between two attack-minded teams. „PSG simply won’t accept doing it differently, and neither will we,“ he said. „But I just hope the result is different.“
