The Rojiblanca Academy enjoyed a flawless weekend! Guadalajara’s U-15 and U-17 teams faced Atlético de San Luis on Matchday 2 of the Apertura 2026 season at Cancha 2 of La Gigantera. Meanwhile, the Women’s U-19 side opened its campaign with a convincing victory over Atlético de San Luis at Sports Arena. As a result, all three squads came away with wins.

U-15

Led by Carlos Tremblay, the U-15 side put on an exciting performance and defeated Atlético de San Luis 5-3 to earn an important home victory. The young Goats took the lead just one minute into the match thanks to Roberto Benítez, while Saúl Hernández doubled the advantage in the 9th minute. Later, Lucio Rodríguez scored the team’s third goal of the morning in the 17th minute. Although the visitors managed to cut into the deficit, Guadalajara remained in control and put the match away in the second half.

Saúl Hernández capped off his outstanding performance with goals in the 45th and 53rd minutes, while Roberto Benítez completed his brace in the 54th minute to seal the 5-3 victory for the Rojiblancos.

U-17

The U-17 side also turned in an impressive performance, defeating Atlético de San Luis 3-0 to keep the Rojiblanca Academy’s perfect weekend intact. Guadalajara broke the deadlock in the 14th minute when Gael Aguilar found the back of the net. The Rojiblancos continued to press forward, and Dilan Padilla doubled the lead in the 28th minute. Just one minute later, Marcelo Villarreal added the third goal of the match to put the result beyond doubt.

Women’s U-19

The Women’s U-19 side also contributed to the Rojiblanca Academy’s perfect weekend with a commanding 3-0 victory over Atlético de San Luis in its Apertura 2026 debut. After sitting out Matchday 1, Cecilia Cabrera’s squad got its campaign off to the perfect start. Merce Miguel opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Jimena Hernández doubled the lead in the 40th, giving Guadalajara a comfortable advantage heading into halftime.

In the second half, Yessenia Guzmán put the finishing touches on the victory with a long-range strike in the 69th minute, securing the Rojiblancas’ first three points of the tournament.
