Three years ago today we said a sad farewell to Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton as they both made his final appearance in a Celtic shirt after long and distinguished careers at our football club.
Tom Rogic who was given a loud applause of appreciation on the 18th minute was subbed off in the 60th minute of a 6-0 trophy day route of Motherwell to a rousing ovation as every single Celtic supporter rose to their feet, and one that was duly merited such was Tom’s massive input in our success over his nine year spell at the club. It was all too much for the Aussie as he broke down such was his feelings for the club and the supporters.
Tom Rogic in tears as he leaves the pitch at Celtic Park for the last time in an incredibly successful career.
Tom was a big game player in his time at the club scoring goals in semi finals, cup finals derby games, he done the lot and will always be remembered for his spectacular last minute winner against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final that clinched the Invincible Treble. He was a truly remarkable talent and one who I dare say we haven’t replaced since.

Nir Bitton who was subbed on that day was also struggling to hide his emotions as he ended his own nine year affiliation with the club. Nir might not have been as talented as Tom but likewise he contributed massively to our success in his time at the club.
Both players will always be remembered for their contributions to the Celtic cause.
