The first-team squad at La Liga giants Real Madrid will be in line for an altogether considerable bonus payment, in the case of emerging triumphant at this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.

Real Madrid are of course set to play their part in the first-ever newly-formatted Club World Cup over the months ahead.

Los Blancos will head into the tournament with spirits high both in the camp and across the club’s fanbase, amid an ongoing squad revolution under the watch of the incoming Xabi Alonso.

And as alluded to above, prestige aside, Real’s players will have another significant reason to do their utmost to secure the Club World Cup title in the USA in July.

As per a report from AS:

‘Such is the desire to achieve this milestone that the club has approved “Champions Champions bonuses”: €1 million gross for each player if they win the tournament.’
