The Premier League's managerial merry-go-round has spun faster than ever before this summer. An unprecedented number of coaching changes has made the 2026/27 season one of the most intriguing for some time, ahead of the first fixture this evening.
There are nine new managers in thePremier League this season, while a further two are beginning their first full seasons in charge.
Only five have celebrated more than two years at the helm of their current sides, and six have had less than two months to prepare for the Premier League season.
Mikel Arteta is the longest-serving manager in the Premier League right now and will celebrate seven years at Arsenal in December. After leading the Gunners to title success last season, has Arteta shown the benefit of patience from boardrooms?
Similarly,Unai Emery sits second, and ended Aston Villa's 30-year wait for a major trophy last season. The Spaniard faces a challenge to replicate that success this season after a transfer window that has included the exits of multiple key figures.
At the other end of the spectrum, new Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle has little time to get to grips with his new squad. The former Al-Ahli boss was onlynamed as Eddie Howe's replacement earlier this month.
