Cristiano Ronaldo Jr the 15 year old son of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo made his first appearance for Portugal’s U16 national team on Thursday during 2-0 victory over Turkey in the Federations Cup Tournamen hosted in Antalya.

A debut moment for the record books

Coming on as late substitute in the 90 minute, Cristiano Junior replaced forward Rafael Cabral to mark his first international cap at U16 level.

Portugal had already secured the win through goals from Samuel Tavares (Sporting Academy) and Rafael Cabral (Braga).

It was short but symbolic appearance — one that reflects the continued path of young player growing under immense expectations.

Rising through the ranks

Earlier this year, Ronaldo made waves with Portugal’s U15 sid scoring 2 goal in the final against Croatia during the Vlatko Markovic Tournament (2-3).

His performances earned him fast promotion to the U16 squad under coach Joao Santos.

The teenager currently represents Al Nassr’s youth academy in Saudi Arabia where his father plays for the senior team.

Before moving to Riyadh, Cristiano Junior developed in the academies of Juventus & Man United following the same journey that paralleled his father’s illustrious club career.

What’s next for Portugal U16

Portugal will continue their campaign at the Federations Cup with upcoming fixtures against Wales (Saturday) and England (Tuesday) ... matches expected to give Cristiano Jr more playing time as the coaching staff assess his integration at international level.
