The next Vincent Kompany? Romelu Lukaku to explore coaching at the end of the season | OneFootball

In an interview with Radio CRC, Romelu Lukaku revealed that he is set to take a coaching course at the end of the season. The striker, who currently plays in Italy for Serie A side Napoli, said that he has been thinking about becoming a coach after he retires from the game. While that is some way off, he said he is looking to take a weeks course at the end of this season to see if it is for him.

He wouldn’t be the first to go into coaching from the Golden Generation. Lukaku could well follow in the footsteps of Vincent Kompany, who worked his way up from Anderlecht to Bayern Munich via Burnley. Lukaku would certainly be welcomed as a coach at Anderlecht once he does decide to hang up his boots. The club and player still have an incredibly strong relationship, with the forward always maintaining that he would like to end his playing career with the Mauves.
