While the exact date for Barcelona’s return to the renovated Spotify Camp Nou remains uncertain, one thing is clear that the team will step back into their historic home at some point this season.

For fans and the players themselves, that moment cannot come soon enough.

What makes this return even more special is that nine current first-team players have never played an official match at the Spotify Camp Nou wearing the Barcelona shirt.

For them, the long-awaited comeback will mark a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Who are those nine players?

Among the goalkeepers, both Joan Garcia and Wojciech Szczesny are waiting to make their Barça debut at the stadium.

While the Polish international has previously played at the ground with Arsenal, Roma, and Juventus, doing so in Blaugrana colours will be a completely different feeling.

The list continues in defence, where academy graduates Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin are yet to feel what it means to represent Barcelona at Camp Nou.

In midfield, three La Masia products – Fermin Lopez, Marc Casado, and Dani Olmo – are also waiting for their first official appearance at home.

Though the capacity will initially be reduced once the stadium reopens, the experience of finally playing in front of their own fans at the Camp Nou will still be unforgettable.

Among the forwards, Marcus Rashford has already featured at the ground with Manchester United, when his side were beaten 3-0 in a Champions League quarter-final.

However, doing so as a Barcelona player is what he truly looks forward to.

For Roony Bardghji, meanwhile, this will be his very first taste of Camp Nou, as he embarks on his debut season with the club.
