Big European clubs are following Josh Acheampong ahead of a potential loan move in January according to reports.
Acheampong was promoted to the first team squad by Enzo Maresca last season, and has put in some impressive performances when called on.
The 19-year-old can play at both centre back and right back, but fans have been surprised by a lack of opportunities this season.
Acheampong scored his first Chelsea goal against Nottingham Forest, and has rightly earned plaudits for his performances.
Maresca admitted he regretted not starting Acheampong in the defeat to Leeds earlier this month, whilst Chelsea have been warned it would haunt them if they sold the England under-21 international.

Acheampong once again found himself left on the bench for Saturday’s defeat against Aston Villa, and The Standard have reported big European clubs are monitoring his game time with a view to a six month loan.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich are reportedly monitoring the defender, and it will be interesting what Chelsea decide to do in January.
Acheampong has been an unused substitute in the last nine Premier League games, and has made 11 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea are usually active in transfer windows, but it’s been reported the Blues aren’t planning to be busy in January.
It’s believed the focus is on next summer, with midfield thought to be an area of priority due to Romeo Lavia’s injury issues.

January will likely focus on departures with the Blues looking to find new clubs for Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling, whilst Tyrique George could also be moved on.
The Blues have been linked with a number of players, and could do something if the right opportunity presented itself, but fans will likely have to wait until the summer for any further incomings.
