FLW has looked at the forwards who have been the best performers in the second tier by numbers
Yet again, the Championship has failed to disappoint the hundreds of thousands of supporters and outsiders who are always encapsulated by the drama and storylines which come out of English football's second tier.
As well as there being a plethora of matches which will go down in history for good and bad reasons depending on the fortunes of one of the Championship's 24 sides, supporters have been treated to many great goals and performances on an individual basis.
They, of course, do not count for everything, but in the modern game, statistics have become more and more prominent when assessing the overall performance of a team or an individual player at any level.
With that being said, out of the many strikers in the Championship, Football League World have looked at which 18 have statistically been the best, using WhoScored's average rating system, and those players MUST have featured at least 20 times for their respective clubs.

Getting this list kickstarted is Will Lankshear, who has enjoyed a fruitful loan spell with Oxford United from Tottenham Hotspur, despite the club's relegation to League One.
The 21-year-old forward has hit double-figures for Matt Bloomfield's side this term after a previously underwhelming stint at West Bromwich Albion, and has earned an average rating of 6.62 as a result of his overall performances.
There is also expected to be interest in his services this summer, irrespective of whether Spurs are relegated to the Championship or not.

In 17th place on this list is West Brom's Norwegian forward, Aune Heggebo, who has adjusted reasonably well to the Championship's rigours after initially finding it tough to net on a regular basis.
The 24-year-old was signed from SK Brann for £4.75m last summer under Ryan Mason, and has been one of the club's more consistent performers in a difficult campaign that has also seen points deducted under three different head coaches.
A 6.66 rating is a fair reflection of his double-figure tally of goal contributions, albeit there have also still been dry spells of productivity.

Tyrese Campbell's second season in a Sheffield United shirt hasn't exactly gone fully according to plan, with the Blades ending the season in a mid-table position after last season's play-off final loss to Sunderland.
The man who scored the opener in said game has only started in just over 20 Championship games this time around, having been sidelined from mid-March onwards through a knee injury, recording a 6.68 average rating as a result.
A return of six goals in 34 appearances beforehand doesn't reflect scintilating form for the reported Celtic and Rangers target, although he will certainly be remembered for his brace in the Steel City derby at Hillsborough on November 23rd.

Although Ipswich Town have mounted an immediate promotion push back to the Premier League, goalscoring from the natural centre-forward department has been somewhat of an issue for Kieran McKenna.
Despite this, data has George Hirst as the 15th-best-performing striker in the division with an average rating of 6.7 out of 10.
The Scotland international has hit double-figures for Town this term, but it remains to be seen if the club are to source a potential upgrade on his services in the summer window.

Next up is Lewis Dobbin, who has impressed on loan at Preston North End from Aston Villa in a season of mixed fortunes for the Lilywhites.
Paul Heckingbottom's side have fallen by the wayside from January onwards, leaving their prior play-off push as a distant memory, albeit the 23-year-old has done all he can with over 15 goals and assists put together, resulting in a 6.72 average rating.
As such, transfer speculation has already come to the fore as it still seems unlikely that Dobbin will break into the first-team picture at Villa Park.

Portsmouth's Colby Bishop also has an average rating of 6.72, despite his numbers in front of goal taking a massive hit compared to last season.
The 29-year-old's 11 goals in 32 games were critical in ensuring survival for John Mousinho's side last term, and whilst Bishop has featured over 40 times this term, he has failed to impress on the goalscoring front, whilst the same can also be said for a number of his attacking counterparts at Fratton Park.

Another intriguing inclusion is that of Jordan Ayew, who has been the subject of major criticism in Leicester City's recent plight from the Premier League and into League One.
The experienced forward is expected to be one of several high-profile departures at the King Power Stadium despite a season in which an average rating of 6.76 has been recorded, albeit he has featured in less than 25 matches for the Foxes.

In 11th place is Watford's summer signing, Luca Kjerrumgaard, who joined on loan from the Hornets' sister club, Udinese, after scoring a plethora of goals for Odense last term.
It has been a respectable season in terms of numbers for the Danish forward in what is his first stint in the Championship, earning an average rating of 6.77.
However, since the turn of the year, whilst the club have changed hands twice more in terms of head coach, the goals have significantly dried up.

Yuki Ohashi of Blackburn Rovers has made his way into the top 10 of this list with an average rating of 6.81.
The combative Japanese international has been a regular source of goals in East Lancashire since his arrival two summers ago, hitting double-figures this time around.
As such, it is rather worrying to think where Rovers would be without his attacking nous, as only Sheffield Wednesday have scored fewer as a collective.

Halfway up this list is Derby County's marquee summer addition, Patrick Agyemang, with an average rating of 6.84 whilst only featuring in half a season's worth of matches through injury.
The USMNT international has scored 10 goals in his first season at Pride Park, which was enough to generate plenty of Premier League interest heading towards the summer transfer window.
However, those developments have quietened significantly since the 25-year-old suffered a heartbreaking achilles injury in April that will also force him to miss the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which takes place in his home country, Canada and Mexico.
