Valencia CF Infantil has finished in a brilliant third place in the 9th LaLiga FC Futures International, a U13 tournament organized by LaLiga in Orlando (USA), which brought together clubs from LaLiga and teams from various countries across the Americas.
The Valencian side defeated Brazil’s Flamengo in the third-place playoff, in a match that was decided by an early goal from Luca— the tournament’s second-highest scorer — who struck again late on to seal a 2-0 victory. This win secured third place for Valencia CF in the 9th LaLiga FC Futures International, where the VCF Infantil players kept their injured teammate José, who was sidelined just days before the trip to Orlando, close to their hearts throughout the tournament.
The Valencian Infantil team, led by Rubén Medina, showcased the playing identity of the VCF Academy throughout the tournament, advancing to the knockout stages as undefeated group leaders, finishing ahead of FC Barcelona, Sevilla CF, and RCD Espanyol.
In the quarterfinals, they defeated Real Madrid 3-2 in a thrilling match, coming from behind in the final minutes. In the semifinals, they narrowly lost to Atlético de Madrid in a closely contested game that ended 2-1.
Their final record was 3 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss, with 12 goals scored and 7 conceded.
Valencia CF's strong performance in this 9th edition of LaLiga FC Futures International continues their impressive run in recent national editions, where they also finished third in 2025 and were crowned champions in the 2024 tournament.
