Rob Edwards has been sacked by Wolves after seven months in charge, placing him among the club’s briefest 21st-century reigns.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, he was appointed with one eye on rebuilding in the Championship and was relieved of his duties today.
In that spell he recorded five wins and nine draws, losing the other 16.
Julen Lopetegui may have lasted longer in days, largely because he waited until late summer to bring his Wolves tenure to an end.
Paul Lambert clocked in just under Edwards’ time, with Fosun ready to move on in summer 2017 and replace him with Nuno Espirito Santo.
The first appointment of the Fosun era proved short lived.
One boss arrived after relegation from the Premier League but, rather than spark an immediate promotion push, the team kept sliding.
Another was hired to replace his predecessor yet oversaw a fall into League One. Wolves had little plan after sacking Mick McCarthy following a disastrous Black Country Derby defeat at the hands of Albion.
