It was a momentous occasion for the Rossoneri and their fans, who were already delighted for Davide Bartesaghi, as the even younger Francesco Camarda received his first senior Italy call-up. The young Rossoneri striker has been included by current head coach Silvio Baldini in the squad for the June friendlies against Luxembourg and Greece. Born in 2008, he is an example of the generational shift driven by the Azzurri coach's focus on youth. It has been a season of growth, learning, and valuable experience for Camarda. In 2025/26, he spent the campaign on loan at Lecce in Serie A, making 21 league appearances and scoring once, totaling around 679 minutes.

His season was disrupted by a shoulder injury in late January 2026, which required surgery and kept him sidelined for around three months before his return in mid-April for the final stretch of the campaign. He scored his only goal against Bologna at the Via del Mare, securing a draw. Camarda joined Lecce on loan from AC Milan, with the Salento club holding an option to buy and a counter-option in favour of the Rossoneri. There were mixed emotions for Camarda as he celebrated Lecce's survival, but was disappointed with AC Milan's final-day defeat.
