The England international fell out of favour with Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim just before leaving the club for a loan move to Aston Villa in January.

Since then, Rashford has shown glimpses of his best form again under Unai Emery, but it remains to be seen if he’ll be staying at Villa Park permanently.

It seems Rashford may have other tempting offers, with Romano posting on YouTube about Barcelona being on alert for a possible deal this summer.

Discussing Rashford and Barca, Romano said: “Let me tell you that, internally at Barcelona, they still believe that Marcus Rashford could be an option for the summer transfer window.

“They believe at Barcelona that Rashford might be available on the market. They believe at Barcelona that Rashford could be a good solution because he can play as number nine, he can play on the wing, so he can help in several positions and he’s a player appreciated by those at Barcelona.

“Barca already wanted Rashford in January. It didn’t happen because Ansu Fati didn’t leave, and so in terms of Financial Fair Play it was not possible to balance the deal, but Marcus Rashford remains on the list of Barcelona.

“If Rashford is not staying at Aston Villa, we will see what happens as he is one of the options under consideration at Barcelona.”

What should Man United do about Marcus Rashford?

It’s not been the easiest couple of years for Rashford, but everyone knows what an exciting talent he can be on his day.

The 27-year-old might end up being someone United regret letting go, though they might also feel it’s a bit too much of a gamble bringing him back.

Amorim will probably want to rebuild this squad with more of his own players, and there might not be a better opportunity to cash in on Rashford, as his stock will only go lower if he comes back and sits on the bench at Old Trafford for a few months.
