Previously a doubt with a left thigh issue, Thiago Mendes has trained and travelled and is likely to feature for Vasco at Corinthians on Sunday.

The 13th-round Campeonato Brasileiro match is at Neo Química Arena, kicking off at 16:00. According to Globo.com, the midfielder felt pain in his left thigh during Tuesday’s Copa do Brasil tie against Paysandu, then did massage and gym work on Friday.

He trained normally on Saturday in the final session before the game and has been cleared to play.

Vasco’s probable XI is Léo Jardim, Paulo Henrique, Saldivia, Robert Renan, Cuiabano, Barros, Tchê Tchê, Thiago Mendes, Rojas, Spinelli (David), Andrés Gómez.

Renato Gaúcho’s side sit 10th in the Campeonato Brasileiro with 16 points and will cross paths again with Fernando Diniz.
