Thiago Silva ‘to be in’ Brazil’s 2026 World Cup preliminary list | OneFootball

Thiago Silva could be recalled by Brazil for a fourth World Cup in 2026, which runs from 11 June to 19 July, according to Globo Esporte.

Porto’s winter recruit is said to be on Carlo Ancelotti’s preliminary list after returning to Europe in January. The 41-year-old, capped 113 times, has not featured for the Seleção since Qatar 2022.

Four Ligue 1 players are said to feature in the expanded pool, including Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos with 104 caps. Despite only 11 matches for Lille, Alexsandro Ribeiro, capped three times, is reportedly included alongside Monaco’s Caio Henrique, who has five caps.

Endrick, on loan from Real Madrid to Lyon, is also said to be included and could contest his second international tournament after the 2024 Copa America.

Ancelotti’s final squad is scheduled to be announced on Monday 18 May.
