Thomas completes Forest loan switch | OneFootball

Codie Thomas has joined WSL 2 side Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.

The young full-back worked her way through the City youth ranks and signed her first professional contract in December 2024.

Making her senior debut in a UEFA Champions League clash with St Pölten two months prior, Thomas has made four first-team appearances in total.

She was a late substitute in the reverse fixture against St Pölten soon after signing her professional deal and also came off the bench in our WSL win over Leicester City before the turn of the year.

Thomas missed the second half of the campaign through injury but made her return to action in a late cameo against Everton in our League Cup victory last season and was also a key figure for our Next Gen across 2025/26.

She then spent the second half of the campaign gaining valuable experience on loan at Glasgow City, helping them claim the Premier League Cup.

Now, the 19-year-old’s development will continue at Nottingham Forest, who finished seventh in WSL 2 last season.
