Wrexham beat Stoke City 2-0 at home as first half strikes from George Thomason and Josh Windass dropped the visitors to 17th in the Championship.
Thomason opened the scoring in the 31st minute, rifling a left-footed shot from the right into the top left after a corner. Windass then tucked in from the centre of the box (33.).
Stoke City struggled to threaten. They registered no shots on target from six attempts, though Lamine Cissé struck the bar late on.
After the restart, Phil Parkinson's side managed the game and lost Sam Smith to injury, with Kieffer Moore introduced in the closing stages.
Wrexham visit Oxford United next. Stoke City host Millwall.
