In line with recent seasons. In the summer of 2024, AC Milan were preparing to compete in four competitions - Serie A, the Supercoppa Italiana, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia - the same number as the previous campaign, when they featured in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, the Champions League and the Europa League. Last summer, by contrast, only three competitions were on the schedule, all on the domestic front: Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana. By the end of the 2025/26 season, AC Milan had played 42 matches. That total is certain to increase in 2026/27, which officially begins with a league fixture away to Torino on Sunday 23 August at 20:45 CEST. Although the Rossoneri will not have to contest the Supercoppa Italiana or the two preliminary rounds of the Coppa Italia, they are guaranteed at least eight additional Europa League fixtures.

The Rossoneri will compete in three competitions during the 2026/27 season. AC Milan will enter the Coppa Italia at the Round of 16 stage, with those ties set to be played between 2 and 16 December 2026. As one of the seeded clubs in the official bracket, the Rossoneri will bypass the summer qualifying rounds and go straight into the knockout phase. The draw has placed AC Milan in the left-hand side of the bracket alongside Inter, Bologna and Como. In the Europa League, meanwhile, the Rossoneri will enter directly into the league phase, with the draw scheduled for 28 August. Matchday 1 will then take place on either Wednesday 16 or Thursday 17 September 2026, with the exact date to be confirmed following the draw.
