The Tribunal de Justiça do Rio Grande do Sul convicted three Internacional supporters of racial abuse during Gre-Nal 443 at Beira-Rio on 19 October 2024.

According to Globo.com, Daniel Antunes Miranda and Raul Miranda were sentenced to three years and three months, and Rodrigo Feijó Bicca to three years and six months, all in open regime, plus community service and a payment of two minimum wages.

After the match, social media images showed an Inter fan rubbing his right forearm and pointing at a Grêmio supporter in the away section. Grêmio fans filed two police reports that prompted the investigation.

After a Civil Police indictment, the Ministério Público filed charges in February 2025. Four victims and 14 witnesses were heard, and club footage aided identification.

The court said rubbing the skin is historically used to target skin colour and brand rivals "imunda". It found the men also directed racist insults and monkey imitations at the Grêmio end.

Judge Jocelaine Teixeira reported gestures suggesting segregation and questioning a man's presence due to his skin colour. One video shows Daniel and Raul signalling their skin, and the decision said other videos would show Rodrigo rubbing his forearm.

The defence said they were calling stewards, showing a tattoo, or indicating "sangue colorado", referencing D’Angelo Russell's "ice in my veins" gesture. At the close of proceedings, the Ministério Público sought acquittal, citing insufficient evidence. The court rejected the accounts, saying gestures alone can constitute racist injury, and the trio may appeal.
