Inter Miami claimed their first win of the season with a 4-2 comeback at rivals Orlando City, overturning a 2-0 deficit.
According to interheron.com, Miami’s 4-2-3-1 was exposed early, Orlando’s front three slicing through to score in the 18th and 24th minutes.
A half-time reset followed. Javier Mascherano moved to a quasi back three, with Micael filling in at left-back after Noah Allen made way for Mateo Silvetti. Width from Silvetti and Allende stretched Orlando and created room for Lionel Messi between the lines.
Silvetti pulled one back on 49 minutes, then Messi levelled eight minutes later. Sustained pressure told late on, with goals in the 85th and 90th minutes sealing the turnaround.
German Berterame is still waiting for a goal, yet his graft proved decisive, chasing a loose ball and squaring for Telasco Segovia’s game-clinching finish.
At 38, Messi underlined his enduring class with a brace to open his 2026 tally. He did it without Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba alongside him.
