Three OL players risk suspension before final day against Lens | OneFootball

Lyon head into a podium-chasing Ligue 1 meeting with Rennes with three players one booking from a suspension that could affect the final day against Lens on Sunday 17 May.

According to Le Progres, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Afonso Moreira and Ruben Kluivert are the trio at risk, Kluivert having collected a fourth caution late on against AJ Auxerre.

Squad numbers are improving at the business end of the season, despite Orel Mangala going off around the half-hour against AJ Auxerre and delayed returns for Ernest Nuamah and Malick Fofana.

The threat applies this Sunday on matchday 32 against the side coached by Franck Haise, so Lyon will need to keep their composure.

A fifth yellow triggers an automatic one-match ban applied two weeks later. If the trio avoid cautions against Rennes but are booked the following week against Toulouse, they could play on matchday 34 against Racing, then serve the suspension at the start of next season.
