Marcus Thuram will not be travelling with the Inter squad to Verona for tomorrow’s Serie A game, but Josep Martinez does return after his traumatic experience.
It kicks off at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday at 11.30 GMT.
The Nerazzurri had hoped to welcome Thuram back after a month on the sidelines with a muscular issue that has taken far longer than expected to recover from.
He finally returned to training over the last couple of days, but Cristian Chivu has decided not to rush the matter, so the striker will remain at the training camp to continue finding full fitness.
It now seems as if Thuram will return for the Champions League match against Kairat at San Siro next Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, Josep Martinez is back in the squad, having been left out for Wednesday’s 3-0 victory over Fiorentina.
This is because on Tuesday the goalkeeper was involved in a traumatic incident, when an 81-year-old man in a four-wheeled motorised scooter swerved across into his lane, prompting a fatal collision.
Martinez was helping police with their enquiries, but the eye-witness accounts point towards the man, named as Paolo Saibene, having a medical issue before the accident.
Nonetheless, it is protocol that Martinez is under investigation for vehicular manslaughter, and he is being assisted by a psychologist provided by the club.
