Timo Werner is close to a full agreement with San Jose Earthquakes over a potential MLS move from RB Leipzig.

Sky Germany reports that it is seen as a matter of time unless Werner changes his mind at the last minute.

A secret meeting took place in Leipzig a few weeks ago between representatives of the Earthquakes and the forward.

Final details are being clarified, the paperwork has not yet been completed and a medical still needs to be done.

If the transfer happens in January, an agreement between Leipzig and San Jose is not expected to be an issue.

Werner’s contract expires at the end of the season, so Leipzig could recoup a fee for the 29-year-old.
