After months on the bench, Paris FC defender Timothée Kolodziejczak has re-established himself, starting both fixtures against PSG, and he could continue at Nantes on Sunday at 17:15.

According to L'Équipe, the 34-year-old left-footed centre-back played in the 2-1 Ligue 1 defeat on 4 January, then helped a 1-0 win on 12 January to reach the Coupe de France last 16.

Used on the left of a back five, his presence proved decisive. Captain Maxime Lopez highlighted his leadership for Otavio and Mus, and the challenge of returning after sparse minutes, Raon-l'Étape aside.

After joining Sevilla in 2014 he won two Europa Leagues, then left after year two, a move he regrets, for Borussia Mönchengladbach where he played only two matches. A stint in Mexico preceded a strong season at Saint-Étienne, then a difficult final year, a single outing at Schalke 04 in 2022-2023 and a move to Paris FC, with promotion in May 2025.

He traces his resilience to Lyon, entering the dressing room at 16 alongside Karim Benzema and Juninho, where competition was fierce. He says Claude Puel hardened him mentally and physically despite frictions.

Before Christmas he played only six times, starting at Angers in a 0-1 Ligue 1 loss and in the cup at Raon-l'Étape, while a one-year extension dragged despite coach Stéphane Gilli wanting him. He says he stayed professional, never lost faith he could play this season, proved it against Paris and knows consistency over several games will matter.
