Fikayo Tomori is one of five Serie A players to have picked up a suspension during the 19th round of league fixtures, which means that he will be suspended for Milan’s upcoming clash with Fiorentina on Sunday.
Tomori was one of several Rossoneri players booked during the protests surrounding the last-minute penalty call at the end of Milan’s 1-1 draw with Genoa on Thursday evening.
Goalkeeper Mike Maignan, plus defenders Tomori and Strahinja Pavlovic were all given cautions during the chaotic last-minute scenes, which ended with Nicolae Stanciu missing the opportunity to win the game by blazing his spot-kick over the crossbar.

For Tomori, however, this was his fifth yellow card of the season and he will now have to serve a one-match ban. The official Serie A statement confirms that Tomori was booked for his protests towards the referee, however, La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that he earned his yellow for over-celebrating after Stanciu missed his penalty.
There were no red cards shown during the latest round of Serie A fixtures, but Tomori and four others will have to serve suspensions over the coming weekend.
Lazio’s Mattia Zaccagni is one of them. He has earned a one-match ban and a fine of €1,500 for arguing with the match officials during Lazio 2-2 Fiorentina and picking up his fifth yellow card of the season as a result. His fine was due to the fact that he was the captain of the side.

Roma’s Bryan Cristante has also picked up his fifth yellow card of the season during Lecce 0-2 Roma and will now have to sit out of Saturday’s game against Sassuolo.
Torino’s Cesare Casadei was also booked during Torino 1-2 Udinese, his fifth of the season, and will be suspended for Saturday’s match against Atalanta.
Como’s Jacobo Ramon was also shown his fifth booking of the season during Pisa 0-3 Como and will now miss out on Saturday’s match against Bologna.
