Tonda Eckert has urged Southampton to rediscover the late-season spark that drove an impressive finish to the campaign.

According to Daily Echo, the head coach told his players they must "generate those moments again".

Southampton pieced together an outstanding run of form at the end of last season.

That surge was followed by the club being removed from the Championship play-off final.

Eckert’s message centred on recreating the spells that lifted performances during that period.
