The ranking excludes players signed on loan last season with options or obligations that have since been activated. Examples include Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli for €44m and Lois Openda to Juventus for €42m.

Como also spent a reported €60m to buy the remaining 50% of Nico Paz’s rights from Real Madrid this summer.
