In a recent report, former Premier League scout Mick Brown claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are genuine contenders for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer. It has been stated that Spurs are showing interest in recruiting the Argentina international in this transfer window.
The 21-year-old put in a series of eye-catching displays for the Red Devils in the Premier League last season. Garnacho banged in 11 goals and grabbed ten assists in 58 matches for Man United in the previous campaign across all fronts.
The Argentine wing wizard was not shy of having a strike at goal as he averaged 3.44 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 34.5% of his attempts on target. Garnacho was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third based on his pass completion rate of 78.9% in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Mancunian club will expire in the summer of 2028. Hence, Tottenham would have to launch a convincing offer if they want to recruit the Argentine talent this off-season.

Garnacho has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field.
The Argentine sensation is primarily a left-winger but can also play in the number ten position or as a right-sided wide player if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the North London club.
Garnacho would add a lot of pace and goals to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.
At 21, the future looks quite bright for Garnacho as long as he continues to improve with each year. He might help Tottenham challenge across all competitions in the coming years. Furthermore, Garnacho would have a great resale value in the future. Thus, he would be a good choice for Spurs to consider before the end of this transfer period.
