In a recent report on X, Sky Sports News mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to land Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo. It has been stated that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the Cameroonian talent to North London in the summer transfer period.
Mbeumo enjoyed a good season at the English club as he was responsible for putting in a run of impressive displays for them in the Premier League. The Cameroon international featured in 42 matches for the Bees last season, finding the back of the net on 20 occasions and grabbing nine assists in the process across all fronts.
The France-born sensation caught the eye at times by averaging 2.08 shots per 90 minutes in Premier League football. He kept 43% of his attempts on target. However, Mbeumo needs to improve his ball distribution from the right flank after making 66.1% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).
Mbeumo’s current contract at Brentford will run out in the summer of 2026 which could open the door for Spurs to land him on the cheap this off-season.

Mbeumo can make a few driving runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to score and can strike the ball with venom from long range.
The Cameroonian talent usually functions as a right-sided wide player but can also fill in as a centre-forward if asked to do so. He already knows the Premier League well and has performed at a high level under the stewardship of Thomas Frank at Brentford over the past few seasons.
Mbeumo would add more firepower to Tottenham’s frontline. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.
At 25, Mbeumo will only get better with each season. He might even help Spurs compete across all competitions in the future. With all things considered, Mbeumo would be a great choice for Spurs boss Thomas Frank to pursue this summer as long as he can get him for a reasonable fee.
