Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a fresh injury blow ahead of their Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers as Destiny Udogie is a doubt for the trip, according to the Sun.

The Italian started in Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday before coming off after 76 minutes.

Udogie only recently returned from a hamstring problem and started in both games Roberto De Zerbi has overseen since his appointment.

However, his latest knock is unknown and he is unlikely to travel with the Tottenham squad to Molineux on Saturday.

The 23-year-old has played 24 games across all competitions for Spurs this season and it remains to be seen whether he will be fit to feature against Aston Villa.

Tottenham take on Leeds United, Chelsea and Everton in their other fixtures of the campaign and could do with Udogie.

James Maddison was on the bench against Brighton, making his return for the first time since an injury he picked up during pre-season.

He did not warm up throughout the game but could be available against Wolves in a much-needed boost.

Tottenham are 18th in the Premier League table heading into the final five fixtures of the season, but just two points are between them and safety.

A win over Wolves will be huge and they will hope 17th-place West Ham United struggle against Everton.

De Zerbi is confident that Spurs can win all their remaining games, and they could do with some injury boosts having already lost Mohammed Kudus and Cristian Romero for the season.

Their next game could determine their fate as far as survival or relegation goes, and they cannot afford to lose concentration at any point in the match.
