Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie is in line to return to action when Spurs take on Manchester United in their Premier League clash on Sunday, according to the Sun.

The Lilywhites host the Red Devils at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend, and manager Ange Postecoglou will be desperate to pick up all three points after watching his team crash out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup within the space of five days.

Injuries have decimated the Tottenham squad, with 11 players unavailable against Aston Villa yesterday, but Udogie has handed them a much-needed injury boost.

The Italian has been out of action for the last six weeks after damaging his hamstring against Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 29.

Spurs have only won a league game since that 2-2 draw, losing the other four, and they could do with more injury boosts going forward.

Udogie has played 23 games across all competitions for the North Londoners so far in 2024-25, weighing in with an assist, and having the left-back available against Man United will be huge.

Guglielmo Vicario, Radu Dragusin, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison, Timo Werner, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke are all unavailable due to various knocks, and Postecoglou will be hoping more players do not join them on the treatment table.

Tottenham have been unlucky with their fitness over the past two-and-a-half months and were forced to do some business during the January transfer window.

They signed goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague, while Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel joined on loan from Lens and Bayern Munich, respectively.

Spurs are currently 14th in the Premier League table after 24 games, ten points off the relegation places, and anything apart from a win on Sunday will be a blow on their already-slim chances of qualifying for Europe next term.
