In a recent report, L’Equipe mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Monaco striker Folarin Balogun. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a €60m move to secure the services of the United States international this summer.

Balogun’s Impressive Form In Ligue 1

Balogun enjoyed a good run of form in Ligue 1 as he put in a string of impressive displays for Monaco on the offensive end of the field. The 25-year-old banged in 13 goals and grabbed three assists in 30 league appearances for the French club last season across all competitions.

The United States international is currently among the most talented strikers in Ligue 1. Therefore, Spurs would do well to get a deal done for him in this transfer window.

His current deal at Monaco will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal this month.

What Will Balogun Add To Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi’s Side?

Balogun can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The United States international can chip in by scoring his fair share of goals up top. However, he has very little experience in the Premier League from his time at Arsenal and might struggle to adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to snap him up this summer.
