Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Liverpool’s Andy Roberton.
The 32-year-old confirmed last week he will leave the club at the end of the season.
His contract at Anfield will expire in June, and the Reds will not offer him a new deal.
Tottenham have a long-term interest in Robertson, and they came close to signing him in January when they agreed a deal in principle with Liverpool.
But the Reds pulled the plug on the move after they were unable to recall Kostas Tsimikas from his loan at Roma.
According to BBC Sport, Spurs remain committed to signing the experienced left-back on a free transfer this summer.
While a full agreement is yet to be reached, negotiations between the two parties are understood to be at an advanced stage.
However, any deal will be contingent on Tottenham staying in the Premier League.
The Lilywhites currently sit 18th in the league standings, with two points behind 17th-placed West Ham United.
Robertson has been a faithful servant for Liverpool over the last nine years.
He has made 374 appearances across all competitions, helping the Merseyside titans win two Premier League titles and a Champions League.
But Robertson has been struggling for game time this campaign, with summer arrival Milos Kerkez ahead of him in the pecking order.
He has featured 20 times in the Premier League, with 13 coming off the bench.
