Tottenham have ‘joined race’ for Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, with Bild claiming the club have contacted his camp and view him as a key target as they reshape for next season.

Officials from the struggling Premier League side are said to have scouted the 30-year-old Guinea international in person.

AC Milan are also considered serious contenders. Saudi Arabia has been mooted, and it is understood his brother, who acts as his agent, has offered him to clubs there. That option now appears increasingly unlikely due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Guirassy is understood to have a €50 million release clause that applies only to select top clubs. Tottenham, AC Milan and Saudi sides are not thought to be in position to trigger it.

After an impressive debut season at Dortmund, his second campaign has been less successful, though he still has 17 goals in 38 appearances. He has come off the bench in two of Dortmund’s last three matches across all competitions.
