Tottenham legend Kyle Walker might leave the Premier League after 16 years. He has handed in a transfer request at Man City.

Kyle Walker is mostly known for his playing days at Man City. It is clear to see why considering he's spent the last eight years donning the sky blue Man City jersey and with great success too.

Walker has won everything there is to win at club level. Despite being an incredible full-back for Tottenham, it was the move to the North of England which accelerated his career to new heights.

After making an incredible 410 Premier League appearances, Kyle Walker might be looking towards a new adventure. This is if his recent transfer activity is anything to go by.

According to a report from The Telegraph, Kyle Walker has asked to leave Man City in the January transfer window. It was also reported that AC Milan are the most likely side to land Walker.

So, after an incredible Premier League legacy left behind, the Tottenham and Man City legend Kyle Walker could be jetting off to Italy for the next stage of his career.

It makes sense that this would be Walker's next destination, considering the Serie A has always been proud to host some of the best defenders in the history of the game. It is rather fitting that Walker joins that great bunch of hall-of-famers.

From Tottenham's perspective, it'll be nice to finally see Walker excel at a club which isn't a direct league rival. For too long now, it has felt bittersweet to see Walker achieve success at Man City since it has come at Tottenham (and every other English side)'s expense.

Would it have made sense for Tottenham to re-sign Kyle Walker? Well, yes and no. Obviously, there is an injury crisis at the back which would make Walker an attractive signing on paper.

However, the other factors vastly outweigh how the transfer would appear on paper. Firstly, Walker wanted to leave Tottenham initially. He had already made that decision before his best playing days, so this is a sting which Tottenham still hold.

Secondly, there is his age to factor in. While Walker is still capable of playing at the highest level, he has only decreased his levels this season. Therefore, Spurs would be signing a fraction of the player they once held.
