Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on signing Norway star Andreas Schjelderup.
Schjelderup showcased his talent at the 2026 World Cup.
He came into the tournament as a squad player but quickly established himself as a key first-team member for Norway.
The winger assisted both goals in the Vikings’ victory over Brazil and also scored against England in the quarter-final.
Schjelderup’s World Cup performances have caught the eye of some of the biggest European clubs, making a summer departure likely.
The Norwegian has two years left on his current contract at Benfica, but he is seriously considering a move.
He has long expressed a desire to test himself in the Premier League, which could work in Tottenham’s favour.
The Lilywhites have been active in the summer transfer market.
They have taken everyone by surprise with blockbuster transfers for Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke.
Martin Dubravka, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi have joined the club as free agents. Schjelderup could be the next player to join the club.
