Micky van de Ven is not expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer despite reported transfer interest from Liverpool and Barcelona.
Liverpool and Barcelona have been linked with a move to sign the Dutch defender, after Spurs failed to secure European football for next season.
Ibrahima Konate's exit for Real Madrid has seen Liverpool assess the market for central defenders, while Barcelona are pursuing a long-term partner for Pau Cubrasi.
Tottenham's transfer business has also led to suggestions that Van de Ven could exit. The North Londoners have signed centre-backs Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke this summer, while Croatian teenager Luka Vuskovic will also return to Spurs after an impressive loan spell with Hamburg.
Despite those options, Van de Ven is viewed as a key part of the project.Fabrizio Romano is reporting that no exit is planned for the 25-year-old, with Roberto De Zerbi keen to keep the defender at the club.
Van de Ven joined Tottenham from Wolfsburg for a fee of £34.5m in 2023 and was named the club's Player of the Season in his debut campaign.
He helped Spurs to Europa League success in 2024/25, but has been part of a side that has struggled in successivePremier League campaigns. Spurs have ended each of the last two seasons 17th in the table, just one place above the relegation zone.
