Tottenham predicted lineup vs Arsenal

Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Palhinha; Kudus, Bergvall, Simons; Kolo Muani.

This game is scheduled for 4:30pm on Sunday and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League.

Tottenham team news vs Arsenal

Tottenham have been dealing with a catalogue of injuries this season. But their availability crisis has eased. Pape Sarr, Mohamed Kudus, Lucas Bergvall, Randal Kolo Muani and Archie Gray have all been declared fit for the weekend.

Kolo Muani sustained a blow to his jaw in the 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United and was thought to be facing a spell on the sidelines. However, the Frenchman has trained with a mask and will challenge Richarlison for the centre-forward position.

The pair started together against the Red Devils, with Kolo Muani playing through the middle and Richarlison off the left.

But there are plenty of other attacking options, including Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert, who both came off the bench a fortnight ago and played their part in a much-improved second half performance.

Tottenham started that game with Xavi Simons in the No.10. But they could be tempted to beef up the midfield by bringing in either Sarr or Bergvall just ahead of the deeper lying axis of Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Spurs must soldier on without long-term absentee James Maddison, though. And they’re unlikely to include Dejan Kulusevski, Dominic Solanke, Ben Davies, Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma and Kota Takai, who are making progress but remain short of full match fitness.

Tottenham relying on away form

There can be fine lines between success and failure in the Premier League. And the assessment of Tottenham’s progress under Thomas Frank may shift depending on this weekend’s result.

Facing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium is always an acid test for Tottenham. Spurs registered their only league win at the venue way back in November 2010 when Younes Kaboul’s header sealed a 3-2 victory.

Defeat would leave Spurs 11 points behind the Gunners and one point worse off than at the same stage of last season.

There have been positives for Tottenham to take, though. They’ve recorded a healthy eight-point haul from their opening four Champions League matches. But they have struggled to gain control of their games and are suffering from a glaring lack of creativity. Maddison and Kulusevski’s long-term injuries haven’t helped them there.

However, Tottenham have performed well on their travels. Their superb 2-0 win at Manchester City stands out as their best performance of the season.

They were worthy winners at long odds at the Etihad and will be hoping to spring another major surprise against their bitterest of rivals.
