Tottenham ‘to move for’ Anatoliy Trubin, with De Zerbi key to Benfica deal | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Tottenham are exploring a move for Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin for the new season, with De Zerbi seen as a key persuader.

Spurs secured Premier League survival on the final day by beating Everton, a match attended by Georgiy Sudakov. With finances intact, attention has turned to recruitment.

The London club could use De Zerbi, credited with keeping them up, to convince the Ukrainian to join the Premier League.

The current Spurs manager worked with Trubin at Shakhtar Donetsk in 2021/22 and is said to rate the goalkeeper highly.

Trubin joined Benfica in 2023/24 for 10 million euros. He is first choice, contracted until 2028, and has said he wants to stay, while not ruling out the Premier League.

In 2025/26 he made 50 appearances for Benfica, 32 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal, one in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. He played 4,455 minutes and conceded 43 goals.
