Xavi Simons is in line to start for Tottenham and make his debut against West Ham on Saturday.
The 22-year-old signed for £51.8million from RB Leipzig in the final days of the transfer window, before heading off on international duty with the Netherlands.
Simons and fellow new signing Randal Kolo Muani are both expected to be in the squad at the London Stadium, and Frank hinted that the Dutchman is more likely to come straight into the starting lineup.
"Both of them are looking good," Thomas Frank said at his press conference on Friday.
"Both of them are definitely in contention to be ready for the squad. Xavi, for natural reasons, is further down the line. He just started the first game for Holland and played a few games for Leipzig.
"Definitely in terms of Randal, it's been a while since he's played. Last time was in the Club World Cup. Hasn't trained really with PSG. So he is not as fit as Xavi, but he looks good."
Simons could get the nod on No10, which would likely mean one of Rodrigo Bentancur or Joao Palhinha missing out.
Frank will again be without Dominic Solanke, who remains unavailable due to an ankle injury.
The Spurs boss said the striker was "not too far away", but it means Richarlison is likely to lead the line again despite having a long trip back to the UK after starting for Brazil on Tuesday night.
There is a dilemma for Frank at full-back. Djed Spence is in superb form and earned a first senior England cap over the international break, but Destiny Udogie is back to full fitness.
Tottenham predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Sarr; Kudus, Simons, Johnson; Richarlison
Injured: Bissouma, Solanke, Dragusin, Maddison, Kulusevski, Takai
