Spurs’ Under-18s captain was seen taking part in Thursday’s session as Thomas Tuchel’s players jogged around the pitch and then played small-sided possession-based games.

Hall, 18, is not part of the 35-man squad so will not be in contention to face Uruguay or for Tuesday’s meeting with Japan, but was specially asked to join in with training so the right number of players were involved.

Spurs fans who take a keen interest in the club’s academy will know that Tye Hall is the son of former Crystal Palace and QPR defender Fitz Hall, who retired after leaving Watford in 2014 and now works as an agent.

Training with England was a great opportunity for Hall to learn alongside some of the best players in the world, including Jude Bellingham.

He will have been far more familiar with Dominic Solanke and Djed Spence through their time together at Tottenham.

Hall was on the bench for Spurs’ first team when they faced Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League back in January.

After joining the club at the age of seven, he signed his first professional contract in November 2024 and agreed a long-term extension in January.

Hall is not the only talented youngster to train with England’s seniors this week, with Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven having also been drafted in from the U20s squad at St George’s Park on Wednesday.

United team-mate Shea Lacey, Chelsea defender Harrison Murray-Campbell and Manchester City’s Lakyle Samuel have also performed similar roles this season.
