Spurs have not recorded a league win in 2026
Tottenham find themselves at the wrong end of the Premier League table once more after their latest defeat on Tuesday night.
Pressure piled on Thomas Frank after his side were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United, which leaves Spurs 16th in the table.
The loss proved to be Frank’s final game at the helm, with the Dane sacked by Spurs on Wednesday.
They are five points clear of the relegation zone, but could have been just three had West Ham managed to hold onto their lead against Manchester United.
The Hammers, sat 18th, were held to a 1-1 draw by United at the London Stadium, but have been on a recent resurgence under Nuno Espirito Santo, clawing their way back to within touching distance of the teams above them.
Spurs’ wretched winless run stretches back to before the turn of the year, with their last victory coming against Crystal Palace on December 28.
It seems them dragged into the dogfight near the foot of the table, with Leeds climbing above them after they secured a 2-2 draw at Chelsea.
Brighton are also looking nervously over their shoulders, with the Seagulls without a win since January 3.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side travel to Aston Villa on Wednesday and could pull five points clear of Spurs should they emerge victorious there.
Beneath Spurs are Nottingham Forest, who themselves are struggling to find that consistent winning formula.
Sean Dyche’s side picked up crucial wins over West Ham and Brentford last month, as well as holding Arsenal to a creditable 0-0 draw, but their recent performances against Crystal Palace and Leeds have allowed West Ham to close the gap from the other side of the dotted line.
That said, Forest could draw level on points with Spurs this evening should they beat Wolves at the City Ground.
But who will Spurs and their relegation rivals face in their next five games?
