Toulouse close to signing Brommapojkarna’s Sion Oppong | OneFootball

Toulouse FC are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with IF Brommapojkarna regarding the transfer of Sion Oppong (18), according to L’Équipe.

A product of the Swedish club’s academy – which has also produced players such as Lucas Bergvall (20), Hjalmar Ekdal (27) and Carl Starfelt (31) – the young winger could soon leave Scandinavia to join the French side in a deal estimated to be worth around €4m.

This would be a welcome boost to the attack after the Violets have already seen Frank Magri (26), Emersonn (22) and Ibrahim Cissoko (23) leave the club this summer. For the club, Oppong’s potential arrival would also provide Jens Berthel Askou with his third summer signing, following the signings of Ismaïl Diallo (29) and Christ Tapé (20), whilst continuing his data-driven scouting work.

Having made 17 appearances in all competitions since the start of the season, the Swedish international (one cap) has taken the opportunity to score his first two goals and provide his first assist whilst playing for BP.
