Trabzonspor ‘make contact’ with Benfica over Dodi Lukebakio | OneFootball

Dodi Lukebakio has drawn fresh transfer interest, with Trabzonspor said to have made exploratory contact over a possible move only a year after he joined Benfica. According to Glorioso 1904, the club want attacking reinforcements for next season.

Head coach Fatih Tekke is said to admire the 28-year-old and exploratory talks have been held to gauge terms. For now, Lukebakio remains with Benfica at the Club World Cup.

Sevilla are also tracking the winger. The Spanish club sold him last summer for 20 million euros and retain 15% of any capital gain on a future sale.

The player, criticised by Paulo Robles, has a 50 million euro release clause, a figure Benfica could use as a benchmark in negotiations. His future may again come into focus during this window.

This season for Benfica, Lukebakio has made 23 competitive appearances, 17 in Liga Portugal Betclic, four in the Champions League, one in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 1,167 minutes he has one goal and three assists. He is valued at 15 million euros.
