Deadline day is here and we’ll be bringing you all the twists and turns as they happen in our live blog below.

Premier League clubs have until 7pm to finalise any last transfers for the January window – the same cut-off time as in France, Germany and Italy, although Spanish and Scottish clubs can do business until 11pm – and there are plenty of deals to keep an eye on.

7.55pm: Transfers still awaiting official confirmation after deal sheets were submitted to the Premier League: Luca Netz (to Forest), James Wilson (to Spurs), Axel Disasi (to West Ham), Dwight McNeil (to Crystal Palace), Tyrique George (to Everton), Adam Armstrong and Angel Gomes (both to Wolves) and Simon Adingra (to Monaco).

7:35pm: Chelsea striker David Fofana has joined BlueCo’s sister club Strasbourg on loan until the end of the season. The 22-year-old is on the move for the fifth time on loan since signing for the Blues from Molde in 2023.

7:30pm: Aston Villa forward Louie Barry has returned to Stockport County on loan. It’ll be the 22-year-old’s third spell at the club.

7:24pm: Nottingham Forest have submitted a deal sheet for the £2m signing of Luca Netz from Borussia Monchengladbach.

7:21pm: A deal sheet has been submitted to the Premier League by West Ham for the signing of Axel Disasi on loan for the remainder of the season from Chelsea. They have until 9pm to officially finalise the deal.

7:19pm: Tottenham have submitted their deal sheet for a deal to sign teenage striker James Wilson from Hearts. They have beaten Arsenal to the Scotland international’s signature.

7:17pm: Kalvin Phillips has finalised his move to Sheffield United on loan for the remainder of the season. The Manchester City man has opted to return to his Yorkshire roots in an effort to rekindle his career.

7:13pm: Manchester United midfielder James Scanlon has joined Swindon Town on loan until the end of the season, the two clubs have confirmed.

7:07pm: Crystal Palace have announced that Jean-Philippe Mateta is staying at Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season after his move to AC Milan broke down and was not resurrected before the deadline passed.

7:04pm: Tyrique George has also passed his medical at Everton and are close to formally announcing that signing.

7:03pm: We’re told Palace have also finalised the signing of McNeil from Everton for £20m. That’s a small £68m they’ve spent in a matter of minutes!!

7:02pm: Crystal Palace have formally announced the signing of Jorgen Strand Larsen for a fee of £48m. That represents a £43m fee up front and a further £5m in add-ons. He will wear the No 22 – and he’s signed a contract through to summer 2030.

7:01pm: Crystal Palace have also submitted a deal sheet for the £20m signing of winger Dwight McNeil from Everton.

7pm: Wolves have submitted deal sheets to the Premier League for both Adam Armstrong and Angel Gomes. The Old Gold are also expected to imminently confirm the exit of Jorgen Strand Larsen for a £48m package.

6:57pm: Per our correspondent, Fraser Fletcher, Rangers are still pushing to finalise the signing of German striker Ryan Naderi. The Scottish window remains open until 11pm so still time aplenty for Gers to get their man. Per Fletcher, Naderi is currently in Manchester awaiting a medical and for the green light to sign on the dotted line.

6:54pm: Chelsea defender Aaron Anselmino has joined Ligue 1 club Strasbourg on loan for the remainder of the season, having recently returned from a very similar spell with Borussia Dortmund.

6:52pm: Jorgen Strand Larsen has completed his paperwork on his club-record £48m move to Crystal Palace, TEAMtalk understands. Official confirmation now just moments away…

6:45pm: Aston Villa have recalled former Juventus winger Samuel Iling-Junior from his loan at West Brom, with the star now moving back to Italy, this time with Pisa on loan for the remainder of the season.

6:39pm: Utrecht have signed West Ham left-back Emeka Adiele for an undisclosed fee. The teenager was due to fall out of contract in a matter of months.

6:34pm: Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is in danger of seeing his move to West Ham collapse. Sky Sports News are reporting the player’s demands could scupper the move despite the Frenchman having passed a medical.

6:22pm: Stoke City have Crystal Palace forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan until the end of the season.

6:17pm: Celtic have signed Junior Adamu on loan from SC Freiburg until the end of the season. The Bhoys have an option to buy the 24-year-old forward at the end of the season.

6:15pm: As we previously reported, Mamadou Sarr has been recalled from his loan at Strasbourg and will be with Chelsea squad from Tuesday. He could be involved at Wolves on Saturday.

6:08pm: Sandro Tonali’s agent Giuseppe Riso insists he has not offered the Newcastle midfielder to Arsenal, despite claims to the contrary from David Ornstein.

6:02pm: A potential loan move for Everton’s Adam Aznou to Marseille will not be happening, although the French side could revisit a deal in the summer.

5:56pm: Chelsea winger Tyrique George has completed his Everton medical. The 19-year-old is finalising an initial loan which includes an option to buy.

5:51pm: Palace sources have now told us that they expect Jean-Philippe Mateta to remain at Selhurst Park for the rest of the season.

5:40pm: Wrexham have agreed a deal to sign Barnsley striker Davis Keillor-Dunn. It’s understood the 28-year-old, who has scored 16 goals for the Tykes this season, has agreed terms on a contract until the summer of 2029.

5:30pm: In other Everton news, the club have turned down approaches from Genoa for right-back Nathan Patterson, who is staying on Merseyside.

5:28pm: Crystal Palace have tabled a very late bid of £20m for Everton winger Dwight McNeil, according to Sky Sports.

5:15pm: Salford City have signed Tottenham centre-back Alfie Dorrington on loan until the end of the season.

5:05pm: Man Utd striker Gabriele Biancheri is close to joining League One side Rotherham United on loan until the end of the season.

5:01pm: Leicester City have announced the loan signing of Joe Aribo from Championship rivals Southampton to the end of the season. Saints, meanwhile, have agreed a deal to sign Canada international forward Cyle Larin on loan until the end of the season.

4:46pm: That offer has been immediately rejected by Celtic. Some statement that from the Glasgow giants, although another offer is incoming.

4:40pm: As per Fraser Fletcher, Celtic are considering the £25million bid (£20m upfront + £5m in add ons) from Nottingham Forest for Arne Engles. Not an immediate rejection like the previous offers, which shows Forest are now getting closer.

4:31pm: Sources are now telling us that Tottenham have made a big push to beat Arsenal to James Wilson and could well win the race.

4:25pm: Stoke City are closing in on a move worth up to £3m to sign Chelsea winger Ato Ampah. The 19-year-old has scored four goals and laid on six assists in 13 matches at various youth levels for the Blues this term.

4:09pm: TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey has revealed that Arsenal have made enquiries about Leon Goretzka. It’s unlikely, but that has been a conversation.

3:58pm: Jeremy Jacquet has begun his medical with Liverpool, Sky Sports report, as the Rennes defender prepares to join the club. He would only arrive in the summer, though.

3:51pm: As we anticipated earlier, Nottingham Forest have now made their third bid for Celtic midfielder Arne Engels. According to Sky Sports, they are now offering £20m plus £5m in add-ons.

3:42pm: Another player set to leave Villa on loan is Lino Sousa, as Fabrizio Romano reports an agreement is close with Rotherham United.

3:29pm: Aston Villa striker Louie Barry is set to rejoin Stockport County, according to The Athletic, for a third loan spell at the club.

3:26pm: TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey has some more info on the news of Nottingham Forest being close to the signing of left-back Luca Netz, revealing that the deal will be worth £2m.

3:22pm: Axel Disasi’s medical for his move to West Ham from Chelsea is underway, Sky Sports are confirming.

3:21pm: Arsenal are still the favourites to sign Hearts striker James Wilson, despite Tottenham joining the race, TEAMtalk’s Fraser Fletcher has been informed.

3:20pm: Nottingham Forest have agreed to sign Borussia Monchengladbach left-back Luca Netz, according to David Ornstein, with a medical now underway ahead of a four-and-a-half-year contract.

1:54pm: Fabrizio Romano has now declared ‘here we go’ for Simon Adingra’s move to Monaco from Sunderland, confirming it will be a loan costing €1m with an option to buy for €17m.

1:51pm: Tottenham are now rivalling Arsenal for the loan signing of Hearts striker James Wilson, according to Sky Sports. TEAMtalk reported earlier he was bound for London to be in place for a potential move, but nothing was agreed at that point.

1:50pm: Ryan Naderi is ecstatic over his move to Rangers, which is happening now. TEAMtalk’s Fraser Fletcher confirms the striker’s medical is due to commence this afternoon and Rangers are closing in on a full agreement with his club, Hansa Rostock.
