FC Bayern would like to sign a striker in the summer. One candidate is and remains an issue, but the record champions have plenty of competition

In the summer of 2025, FC Bayern signed Nicolas Jackson on loan from Chelsea FC. The fee was high, as is the option to buy. The decision has now almost been made: Jackson will not stay with the record champions

Instead, a new backup for Harry Kane is being sought for the summer of 2026. There are candidates, but the profile is not yet 100 per cent clear. At least that is not known

Asllani move to FC Bayern not off the table

According to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, one candidate who has been repeatedly linked with FC Bayern is still on the table. We are talking about Fisnik Asllani, who is currently under contract with TSG Hoffenheim. After his loan to SV Elversberg last season, Asllani has managed to quickly gain a foothold in the Bundesliga. His stats are good, even if he has recently suffered a slight dip in performance

Many clubs, not just Bayern, are very keen on the Kraichgau attacker, who has an exit clause in his contract in the region of almost €30 million. That would of course make a move easier, as there are no negotiations with the club imminent. However, there is competition, as BVB with new sporting director Ole Book, who still knows the striker from Elversberg, is also interested. Other teams are watching the situation closely and attentively

Asllani would definitely be a good fit because he knows the league, can be used flexibly in attack, is still malleable and not too expensive. In addition, his salary at TSG is not too high, which also fits into FC Bayern’s requirement profile for a new striker. For the moment, however, no decision has been made as to how the record champions will act in the personnel matter.
